Massage Therapy

Massage has been practiced as a healing therapy for centuries in nearly every culture around the world. This "hands-on" therapy manipulates muscles and other soft tissues of the body to improve your health and well-being. Varieties of massage range from gentle stroking and kneading of muscles and other soft tissues to deeper manual techniques.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage offers skilled, compassionate touch by a professionally trained therapist to provide the following benefits:

  • Decreased chronic tension, pain and stress
  • Increased joint flexibility
  • Increased energy level
  • Improved immune system response
  • Improved circulation
  • Reduced mental and physical fatigue

Massage Therapy Services

Deep Tissue

Focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue. Chronic patterns of tension in the body are released through low strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers or the muscles and fascia. This is a corrective and therapeutic massage.

Rejuva Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty in which the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work deeper into the tissue.

While hot stone therapy seems to be on the menu of spas everywhere, its lesser-known chilly counterpart is an equally effective technique for promoting relaxation and relieving discomfort. Cold stone massage, whether it’s performed with only cold stones or in conjunction with hot stones, helps lower stress, improve circulation and soothe inflammation to treat a variety of maladies.

Lymphatic Massage

This is a soft, deeply relaxing fluid massage, which strengthens the immune system as it moves the lymph fluid in your body. A wonderful way to cleanse the body of cellular bacteria and toxins.

Myofacial Release

Works with, not on, the body. Using gentle pulls and stretches, the therapist waits for the body to provide guidance. Corrects chronic body holding pattern. No massage cream or oil is used.
