Asthma Management

Asthma attacks can be frightening. A better understanding of the condition, however, can help take away some of the fear and increase your control over it. Our Asthma Management program helps you breathe easier.

The program is offered at All Saints in Racine and St. Joseph Campus in Milwaukee. To learn more about the program, please call 262-687-2226 (Racine) or 414-447-2513 (Milwaukee).

Program Goals

  • Decrease nighttime symptoms
  • Increase your activity level
  • Improve work/school attendance
  • Reduce your visits to the emergency room

The program is open to people of all ages, from infants to adults.

Qualified Experts Help You Gain Control 

One of our highly educated and qualified team members from the Asthma Management Program will meet with you to assess your needs and determine the best course of action to help you control your asthma. The program will also provide: 

  • Education about asthma
  • "Trigger" identification
  • Educational assistance with prescriptions and equipment
  • Lung function testing and an asthma evaluation
  • Nutrition advice
  • Personalized asthma action treatment plan
  • Prescription refills for inhaler and nebulizer medications
  • Referral to specialists within the allergy or pulmonary departments
  • Self-management skills training
  • The opportunity to improve your quality of life

Program Requirements

  • A physician referral is required to participate.
  • The program is designed to encourage effective asthma "self-management." It is not a substitute for physician care.
  • Primary care physician referral information will be provided to the patient if she or he does not have a primary care doctor.
  • Services are provided on an outpatient basis, by appointment only.
  • The program is covered by most insurance plans.
