I talked with this provider about getting back on contraceptives. I told her I had like the contraceptive that I had used in the past so she decided to prescribe that. After searching for it she decided against it, not necessarily reasoning why, and prescribed a different contraceptive (which is fine). I felt I didn't have much input in this. After a talking and reassuring her how responsible I was in taking my contraceptives, she proceeded to suggest I take prenatal vitamins IN CASE I get pregnant. I was uncomfortable with this suggestion as I had just reassured her I was 100% responsible with my contraceptives. I have also never heard this suggestion from a medical provider.
