Professional Memberships

Dr. Battista is an associate clinical professor of surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and academic chair of surgery for Wheaton Franciscan - St. Joseph Campus. He has won several teaching awards from the MCW including the 2008 Outstanding Medical Student Educator Award and the 2007 Marvin Wagner MD Clinical Preceptor Award. He is a three-time winner of the Teacher of the Year Award from the surgical chief residents at the MCW and was selected by students for the Golden Cane Teaching Award, which recognizes the top teacher in the Department of Surgery. He also received the Excellence in Teaching award from Milwaukee Academy of Medicine in 2010.
