Patient Amenities

We are pleased to offer our patients the following amenities.

Private Patient Rooms

All patient rooms at Ascension Elmbrook Hospital are private, single use. Several rooms are specially designed for certain patient populations such as orthopedic surgical patients, pregnancy/birthing, gynecological patients, or bariatric surgery patients.

Each room is equipped with:

  • A private bathroom and shower
  • Telephone
  • Television with satellite service
  • Free wireless Internet

Room Service

Elmbrook Hospital is proud to offer a “Meals on Demand” room service program. You can choose your meal from a menu comparable to a restaurant. Just call our nutrition services department, and we will deliver your meal directly to your room. Guest trays are available upon request.

WiFi Services

Elmbrook Hospital has free WiFi service. Wireless Internet service is available in lobbies, waiting areas, the cafeteria and patient rooms. Because the building is primarily brick, coverage may be spotty. We apologize for this inconvenience.

To use our wireless Internet, you need:

  • Wireless connectivity on your computer or mobile device
  • Your wireless connectivity turned on
  • A web browser such as Internet Explorer®, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc. (All versions of all browsers will work.)

To access the WiFi network on your personal device:

  1. Set your network name (SSID) to: wfsi-guest
  2. Open your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer®)
  3. Please carefully review the public Internet access disclaimer
  4. Accept the terms and conditions by selecting “accept”
  5. Accept the security certificate that appears by selecting “yes”
  6. You should now have an Internet connection

Spiritual Services

Your spiritual wellness is important to us. Our hospital chaplains are here to listen and offer comfort and spiritual support to you and your family.

Chaplains can also provide sacraments, interfaith worship services, memorial services, and grief support. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your parish priest or minister is welcome to visit, and we encourage you to contact him or her.

All are welcome in our chapel for quiet reflection, meditation and prayer at any time. Elmbrook Hospital's chapel is located on the third floor, south end of campus.

Care Management Services

Ascension Care Management includes:

  • Social Workers
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Case Managers
  • Discharge Planners

Our care management staff is available on each hospital unit to help create a safe discharge plan in collaboration with the physicians and nursing staff.

Care Management staff can help make arrangements for:

  • Home health care
  • Equipment at home
  • Doctor appointments
  • Community resources
  • Rehabilitation
  • Home infusion
  • Hospice
  • Skilled nursing care

The Care Management team can help you complete an Advance Directive. An Advance Directive is a document that allows you to determine your treatment choices when you are not able to communicate your own preferences.

Interpreter Services

If you are hearing-impaired or have difficulty communicating in English, your nurse can help you get an interpreter at no cost to you.
