Job Shadow Program

(Observation Only – "No Hands On")

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare welcomes the opportunity to provide you with a shadow experience within our health care system.

It is important to understand this experience offers you the opportunity to observe a member of our health care staff performing an occupation that interests you, the functioning of a particular department and/or the integration of an occupation or department within a health care system. Also, please be advised that this is a one time only, short-term (no more than an 8 hour shift) opportunity.

Under these guidelines, you will not be allowed to participate in patient care activities, operate equipment, access patient or other records or perform any other “Hands-on” functions.

Upon receipt of the agreement and health requirements documentation, you will be notified to proceed with scheduling your shadow experience. Please note that the turn around time can take up to six weeks.
