Glendale, WI - Jonathan Sohn, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, has been named a 2012 CFO of the Year award winner by The Business Journal of Milwaukee.

During Jon’s tenure with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, he and the management team have been able to navigate challenging economic times with significant accomplishments that have allowed Wheaton to strengthen its market position. These include: investments in growth projects such as a hospital in Franklin and outpatient center in Brown Deer in addition to a joint venture forming Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital; strategic acquisitions to increase the number of employed physicians in the medical group in Southeast Wisconsin; and a major information technology conversion of general ledger systems for the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System.

“Jon is very skilled at critical analysis of financial issues and proposing solutions that will optimize financial performance,” said John Oliverio, President and CEO of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. “As a strategic thinker with a strong grasp of the big picture, Jon has quickly become a trusted advisor as he provides counsel to our operational and system leaders. He is constantly looking for improvement opportunities that will have a positive impact on Wheaton’s financial performance.”

In addition to his role with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Sohn is committed to using his talents to improve the community by working with a variety of organizations. He currently serves as School Board President at St. Dominic Parish and is a member of the YMCA of Greater Milwaukee’s investment committee. He also provides mentoring and assistance to startup businesses through the Marquette Golden Angel Network and is active with the Cub Scouts.

Sohn is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from Kellogg Executive School of Management at Northwestern University.
