Ways to Give – The Stork’s Nest

The Stork’s Nest, located within the Women’s Outpatient Center at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus, serves as a vital resource not only to the immediate needs of mothers and their newborns, but it is also one way in which we work to combat infant mortality in Milwaukee.

To help improve prenatal visits, we award points to patients when they attend a class or see their medical provider. They exchange their points for infant items in our on-site store, the Stork’s Nest, which is stocked with all sorts of essentials for mothers and their baby. This incentive-based system works to ensure mothers have the healthiest pregnancy possible.

Due to the volume of patients who receive care with us, maintaining inventory levels in the Stork’s Nest can be a challenge. The Stork’s Nest is completely funded through grants from community partners as well as individuals who donate items or organize drives. This is where you come in!

We are in need of the following items to stock our shelves:

  • New infant clothing (1-3 months)
  • Activity mats/blankets
  • Baby bath soap and lotions
  • Baby books
  • Toys
  • Diaper bags
  • Boppy pillows
  • Infant bath tubs
  • Bottles
  • Pacifiers
