Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital Holds 5th Annual Golf Outing
The Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital held its 5th annual associate golf outing on May 21, 2016 at the beautiful Whistling Straits Golf Course in Kohler.
A total of 72 golfers took to the green experiencing one of the finest courses Wisconsin has to offer. Prizes were awarded to teams finishing in first, eighth and sixteenth places. Two ‘longest drive’ and two ‘closest to the pin’ competitions were also held. The day concluded with dinner at The American Club. Events like these truly help build camaraderie among staff which also translates to a more cohesive team. Above all though, the day was about raising funds for a cause near and dear to our hearts.
The event raised over $6,000 to support the Dan Mattes Innovation and Technology Fund which was established in honor of late market president, Dan Mattes. The fund will further his legacy within the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare organization through an endowment by providing support for innovations in medical systems, therapies, drugs and medical devices, in order to enhance patient care throughout the Central Market and to ensure that our hospitals remain at the forefront of state-of-the-art advancements.
