Record Attendance & A New Venue Highlight the 7th Annual Bowl-A-Rama
A new venue highlighted this year’s 7th Annual Bowl-A-Rama event, which was held on Friday, Jan. 23. Associates from across Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare’s Central Market came together in support of the Dan Mattes Innovation and Technology Fund.
Nearly 360 bowlers convened at AMF Bowlero in Wauwatosa, filling the 72 lanes the facility offered. As tradition goes, creatively named teams donned costumes and other adornments while bowling three games. Judges also circulated to help determine who would take home the night’s top prize in the costume contest. Additional funds were raised through a 50/50 raffle and a large assortment of raffle prizes made possible by generous sponsors of this year’s event.
A special thanks goes to the Bowl-A-Rama Committee who works each year to make this event so successful, our raffle prize sponsors and the passionate and committed Central Market associates who not only know how to have a good time but also give of themselves to raise funds for an incredibly meaningful cause.
The Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Foundation for St. Francis and Franklin Dan Mattes Innovation and Technology Fund was established upon the unexpected passing of former Central Market President Dan Mattes. His legacy is kept alive within the organization through an endowment by providing support for innovations in medical systems, therapies, drugs, and medical devices, in order to enhance patient care throughout the Central Market and to ensure that our hospitals remain at the forefront of cutting-edge advancements.
