Coming Together to Give Healthcare a Better Name

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is proud to be a part of Ascension, the nation’s largest Catholic healthcare system and nonprofit organization in the US. Wheaton joins three other area systems — Columbia St. Mary’s, Ministry Healthcare, and Affinity Health System — to comprise Ascension Wisconsin.

“We are pleased to become part of Ascension. This relationship will support our efforts in delivering high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care in the communities we serve,” said John Oliverio, President and CEO of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.

Wheaton Franciscan has now adopted Ascension's mission:

Rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Our Catholic health ministry is dedicated to spiritually-centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words.

What Patients Can Expect

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare patients can expect business as usual with personalized, compassionate and high quality care. Wheaton’s existing agreements with insurance companies remain in effect, so there are no changes to your providers or coverage. And access to your
records and health information via MyChart remains unchanged, continuing to provide you with this convenient, easy option.
