- Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Franklin received the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce’s 2009 Pride in Premises Award for its environmentally friendly design and use of sustainable and renewable resources.
- Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Southeast Wisconsin was named one of 2009’s Top Milwaukee Workplaces by The Business Journal. This honor is based on a nomination essay that gives an overview of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare’s workplace environment and benefits for associates including:

- Associates in Southeast Wisconsin also participated in a survey where they rated the organization as an employer in key categories.
- Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare has received a 2009 VIP Award from McKesson Technology Solutions for its success in using information technology to enhance patient safety across nine hospital sites and more than 100 physician office sites. The VIP Awards are presented annually to organizations that demonstrate vision, innovation, and performance in the use of health care IT. WFH is one of five health care organizations selected in July 2009 by a panel of judges – who are considered experts in the field of health care IT use – to receive the award. In honor of the achievements, our foundations received a $10,000 grant from McKesson.
- Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare was named one of best performing 50 systems in Thompson Reuters’ 100 Top Hospitals®: Health Systems Quality/Efficiency Study.
- For the eighth year in a row, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare was recognized as among the nation’s top 100 most efficient, best-performing health care networks by SDI® (formerly Verispan), the nation’s premier integrated health network evaluation system.
- The Wellness Councils of America (WELCOA) presented Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare a Silver Well Workplace Award. This national award recognizes Wheaton’s commitment to the health and well being of our associates through in-house health and wellness promotion.
- Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for high quality, physician-involved diabetes care. The NCQA recognizes physicians for delivering the highest level of quality ambulatory care to persons with diabetes. Through our partnership and intensive work with the International Diabetes Center, we have successfully implemented evidence-based improvements in diabetes care across Southeast Wisconsin to support patients and physicians.
- Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus has been selected for two national awards from Thomson Reuters’ 100 Top Hospitals®. Winners were selected based on performance in five critical areas:

- Wheaton Franciscan – The Wisconsin Heart Hospital Campus ranked third in the state of Wisconsin for percentage of patients who are most likely to recommend the hospital. This distinction is the result of patient feedback collected last year by the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.
- Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory has been recognized by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories, making it the only lab in Wisconsin to be accredited for four vascular testing areas in addition to Vascular Disease Screening.
