Wisconsin Heart Hospital honored with Press Ganey's 2011 Summit Award™

For the third year in a row, Wheaton Franciscan – Wisconsin Heart Hospital Campus' Emergency Department has been awarded Press Ganey’s Summit  Award™ for patient satisfaction.

Summit Award winners have ranked in the 95th percentile or above in the Press Ganey database for a minimum of three consecutive years. Summit Award winners for clinical performance must be among the top 3% in overall performance and demonstrate consistently high performance across four measure sets over a period of three years.

These results are significant because Press Ganey collects satisfaction data for more than 10,000 health care organizations and 50 percent of nationwide hospitals.

Out of 101 Press Ganey client hospitals receiving these awards, Wisconsin Heart Hospital  is one of only 24 emergency departments receiving a Summit Award in 2012.

Since its founding in 2004, Wisconsin Heart Hospital  has consistently been in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction – an honor that our patients have given us due to the great care that we have given to our patients.

Accreditations 

• We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets national health care standards and has been accrediting health care facilities since 1951. 
• In September 2010, we became the first hospital in Southeast Wisconsin to receive the latest in chest pain center accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), an international organization dedicated to eliminating heart disease as the number one cause of death worldwide. 
• In 2010 the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL) granted Wisconsin Heart Hospital a three-year reaccreditation in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography. We are part of a growing number of echocardiography laboratories in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico to be recognized for our commitment to high quality patient care and quality diagnostic testing. Participation in the accreditation process is voluntary. Accreditation status signifies that the laboratories have been reviewed by an independent agency, which recognizes laboratories’ commitments to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.
