For more than 130 years, Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph has been located in the heart of Milwaukee. Many major Milwaukee streets can lead you to our campus if you’re within the city or coming by highway from suburban areas.

Directions

From the east: 

• Take I-94 West to Highway 41 North exit
• Take Highway 41 until the freeway ends at Lisbon Avenue
• Turn left (northwest) on Lisbon Avenue
• Turn right (north) on 51st Street
• Go through two stoplight-controlled intersections (Center Street, Locust Street) until you reach  
•   Chambers Street (also controlled by a stoplight)
• Turn right to get to main lobby driveway, or go straight 1/2 block and turn left into our parking structure

Alternative city streets route:

• Head west on Capitol Drive to Roosevelt Drive
• Turn left on Roosevelt Drive and head southwest
• Turn left on 51st Boulevard
• Go south, past Burleigh Street
• Parking garage will be on the right (west), or go to Chambers Street, turn left, and go to main entrance

• Take I-43 South to I-94 West exit
• Take I-94 West to Highway 41 North exit

• Go through two stoplight-controlled intersections (Center Street, Locust Street) until you reach

Parking
You’ll find free parking in our newly updated parking structure on the west side of 51st Street. Covered walkways lead from the 2nd and 3rd floors of our garage to the 2nd and 3rd floors of our hospital. The parking structure’s 3rd floor has specially marked spaces for moms who are coming here to deliver babies and a connecting walkway leads you directly to our labor and delivery department in the hospital.

You’ll also find valet parking at our main entrance on Chambers Street and the Sherman Cancer Center entrance on 51st Street and Burleigh Avenue. Valet service is $1, and is available Monday through Friday.

Chambers main entrance: 6 am – 8 pm
Sherman Cancer Center entrance on Burleigh: 8 am – 5 pm
