Visiting Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus When you visit a patient or attend a function at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus, we have special amenities and services that will enhance your visit.
ATM
The Automatic Teller Machine is in the cafeteria on the 1st floor.
Cafeteria
Our cafeteria is on the 1st floor.
You’ll find a variety of made-to-order hot and cold items including:
- Entrees
- Sandwiches
- Sides
- “Grab-and-go” selections
Hours:
Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays
Full breakfast: 6:30 – 9:30 am
Continental breakfast: 9:30 – 11 am
Lunch service: 11 am – 2 pm
Light lunch: 2 – 4:30 pm (“grab-and-go,” soup, salad, and deli bar)
Guest meals may also be ordered through room service. Please ask your patient’s caregiver.
Chapel
Stop in this quiet, contemplative environment for personal reflections and prayer. Our chapel is on the 1st floor near our main lobby on Chambers Street.
Gift shop
Gifts and deliveries
You can send packages, mail, plants or flowers to a patient in most units. If you want to bring food or beverages to a patient, please check with the nurse.
In the ICU, live plants and flowers are not allowed.
If you want to bring balloons, only Mylar (non-latex) balloons are allowed. Please check with the nurse about any other gifts.
Mail received after the patient is discharged will be forwarded to the patient’s home.
Parking
Valet parking
St. Joseph Campus offers valet parking for $1, payable upon arrival.
Valet parking is offered at our main entrance on Chambers Street and the Sherman Cancer Center at 51st Street and Burleigh Avenue (5000 W. Chambers Street)
Service is available Monday through Friday: 6 am – 8 pm
Sherman Cancer Center
Valet parking service is available Monday through Friday: 8 am – 5 pm.
If you have limited mobility, ask valet staff to make special arrangements for car drop-off and retrieval.
Non-valet parking
Find free, self-parking also in the hospital-operated parking structure between 51st and 52nd Streets. A small parking lot is also near our Emergency Department entrance on Burleigh Street.
Limited short-term parking is available on streets surrounding the hospital.
If desired, security staff will escort you to your car, whether you are parked in the parking structure or on the street. They also will help visitors who have car trouble. Call extension 2154 to arrange for these services.
Pharmacy
For your convenience, a full-service, outpatient pharmacy is here at St. Joseph Campus.
Located in the main lobby on Chambers Street, the pharmacy fills prescriptions, offers an automated scrip center, and also carries some over-the-counter medications.

Smoking
St. Joseph is a smoke-free campus. For the health of our patients, visitors, and staff, smoking or the use of tobacco products is not allowed anywhere on our campus, including adjacent sidewalks and driveways leading to or next to our property.
Vending machines
Find snacks and beverages in the vending machines in the cafeteria on the 1st floor, available 24 hours a day.
Waiting areas
We’ve created specially designed lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor, in the main lobby, and in special units such as the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Family Birth Center, and Surgery Department.
WiFi services
Wireless access is available in the hospital. Bring your own PDAs and notebook computers and enjoy the Web for free.
