St. Joseph Campus offers:
St. Joseph experienced medical and clinical team
All of our Emergency Department doctors are board certified and specially trained in emergency medicine. Our emergency medicine nurses are advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certified. Many are also trauma certified (TNCC). Together with these doctors and nurses, our physician assistants and other clinicians have the skills, expertise and compassion to care for you when seconds count.
St. Joseph accredited Chest Pain Center
Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus is an accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC). We are committed to evaluating every patient who arrives with chest pain and beginning treatment within 90 minutes or less, to reduce damage to the heart.
The SCPC seal of accreditation is an important distinction among Chest Pain Centers because it certifies that the center and its staff are totally prepared to care for patients with heart attack symptoms. Successful treatment of heart attacks is time dependent and must be initiated rapidly.
St. Joseph Level III Trauma Center
St. Joseph Campus is a licensed, certified Level III trauma center, providing life-saving emergency care as recognized by the State of Wisconsin. This means that St. Joseph provides assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and emergency surgery and can arrange transfer to a level I or II trauma center for surgical and intensive care as needed.
Quality care when seconds count
The St. Joseph Campus Emergency Department meets or exceeds national benchmarks for emergency department length of stay, timing for cardiac interventions and antibiotic administration for pneumonia patients.
