Cardiac/Vascular Program
The Cardiac/Vascular program is an 18 month, full-time (40 hours per week) designed to teach students how to perform Vascular and Cardiac (Echocardiography) exams.
The student will spend approximately 2 days per week in the classroom and 3 days per week in a clinical site with hands-on training with registered sonographers. A new class starts approximately every 18 months.
The next class will start in September of 2014
Students who complete the Cardiac/Vascular concentration will receive a Certificate of Completion from St. Francis School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Successful completion of the program will make you eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) exams in:
- Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI)
- Adult Echocardiography
- Vascular Sonography
Students may also apply to take the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) exams for:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- Registered Vascular Sonographer

Applications for the next class will be accepted from December1st through February 1st . All information required for admission must be postmarked or personally delivered on or before August 1st. It is the applicant's responsibility to make sure all the required paperwork is submitted.

Tuition for students from our agreement universities (Concordia University of Wisconsin and Mt. Mary University if Milwaukee) is determined by those institutions. Tuition for students applying as health care professionals or Bachelor of Science recipients can be found under tuition and fees
