Mental Health & Addiction Community Education & Training

In addition to providing patient education about mental health and addiction issues, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare also provides community education and training for area professionals.

  • Community Education - Providing information and answering questions about mental health and addiction issues helps remove some of the barriers to treatment. It also decreases the stigma associated with mental health and addiction.
  • First Responder Training - Available to area professionals, the first responder training teaches you to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health or addiction issues and respond appropriately. We also offer Crisis Intervention Training for law enforcement. Certified instructor courses are available for first responders.
  • Continuing Education Credits - Programs are available on various topics for mental health professionals.
