Vascular Screening Package

You'll benefit from our three-part vascular screening, which could save your life and limbs. Conducted in our accredited lab with results to you within 10 days, the complete package is only $99 but offers a wealth of knowledge:

  • Carotid Ultrasound – Scans the carotid arteries in the neck for blockage, one of the leading causes of strokes.
  • Abdominal Ultrasound – Screens for an aneurysm of the abdominal aorta (AAA), a potentially life-threatening condition.
  • Ankle Brachial Index – Screens for peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or blockage in lower extremities, which can put you at higher risk for heart attacks and strokes.

All we need is 20 minutes of your time. That's the amount of time it takes for your fully clothed screening (except for shoes and socks).

Staff at our vascular labs, including registered vascular technologists, will conduct the ultrasound testing. The results will then be interpreted by a trained vascular physician, and you'll receive your detailed report within 10 days. However, if your results are critical, you will be contacted the same day. We will not share the report with your doctor, but we do encourage you to provide the information to your primary care physician.

Your Screening Commitment

You can have all three screenings done for $99 or choose to have only one for $40. Preregistration and prepayment is required.

Medicare will pay for a one-time preventive ultrasound screening for the early detection of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) for at-risk beneficiaries. Eligible beneficiaries must meet the following criteria:

  • receive a referral for the aorta ultrasound screening as a result of an IPPE (“Welcome to Medicare” physical exam/visit) performed in the first 12 months of enrollment in Medicare
  • a man or woman with a family history of AAA
  • a man between the ages of 65-75 who has smoked at least 100 cigarettes in his lifetime

There is no Medicare Part B deductible for this benefit. The coinsurance or co-payment applies. Talk to your doctor to confirm service eligibility.
