Who Can Participate?

All clinical trials have guidelines about who can participate, and participation in a trial is optional. Factors that can be considered are age, gender, the type and stage of a disease, previous treatment history and other medical conditions.

Wheaton is involved in many different types of clinical research trials at all times. These trials:

  • Test new treatments, drugs and devices
  • Look at better ways to prevent diseases
  • Help find better ways to diagnose particular diseases
  • Explore ways to improve the quality of life for individuals with certain illnesses
