Falls Prevention Program

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare offers a unique Falls Prevention Program which enables our patients to improve their strength, balance and coordination so that they can retain as much independence as possible.

How Does It Work?

One of our specially trained physical therapists teaches a series of simple exercises designed to improve strength and balance. This program is offered to homebound individuals in their homes and to independent older adults on an outpatient basis. Participants report that the Falls Prevention Program is enjoyable and increased their sense of fitness and well being.

Even more important, the Falls Prevention Program is something participants can do to decrease health risks and improve their quality of life.

The Falls Preventions Program is available at all Wheaton Franciscan Rehabilitation locations and through Wheaton Franciscan Home Health and Hospice.
