Osteoporosis Management and Prevention

All men and women face the risks and dangers of osteoporosis, a serious disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break. Osteoporosis, if not prevented or left untreated, can progress silently without symptoms. Ultimately, it can lead to painful and potential debilitating fractures.

Our Approach

At Wheaton Franciscan Rehabilitation Services, we take a multi-disciplinary approach to prevention and early treatment of osteoporosis. Programming is tailored to the needs of each patient and includes:

  • Bone density testing
  • Exercises for strengthening
  • Fall prevention
  • Lifestyle education
  • Risk factor assessment
  • Stretching and balance

Osteoporosis Management and Prevention is available at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Wauwatosa and All Saints and Elmbrook Medical Arts Center locations.
