Expert, Compassionate Inpatient Treatment

Wheaton Franciscan Mental Health and Addiction Care offers inpatient treatment for adults, adolescents and children at All Saints, 1320 Wisconsin Ave., Racine and inpatient treatment for adults at St. Francis, 3237 S. 16th St., Milwaukee.  Inpatient care focuses on acute symptom management in a secure, therapeutic environment to return the patient to the outpatient provider after a brief inpatient stay.

Staffing

Each patient is admitted and treated by a staff-privileged psychiatrist.  Upon admission, the psychiatrist and the team of professional staff conduct a thorough evaluation and a treatment plan is developed.  Twenty-four nursing care is provided to ensure that each individual’s needs are addressed.

Making a Referral

The best place to start is to contact the Mental Health & Addiction Care unit directly and ask to speak to a social worker or charge nurse on duty.  Staff will then help clarify whether an individual is eligible for admission and help begin the admitting process.
