Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare offers the latest treatments Elmbrook Memorial, St. Francis and St. Joseph hospitals. Since May 2005, these specialized outpatient programs have successfully worked with people showing the following signs of anemia:

Our Approach
Our goal is to minimize the time involved in treating your anemia, while providing the latest, proven medication therapies to manage your condition. Our program is particularly effective working with patients with anemia related to:
- B12 deficiency
- Iron deficiency
- Chronic anemia related to a variety of diseases
Among are medical therapies are newer preparations of IV iron which can be safely delivered in 2 to 5 minutes, as compared with more time-intensive infusions.
Our Team
Our program is led by advance practice nurses who have specialized training in anemia and other blood disorders. We also work with pharmacists and other clinical care providers in creating your treatment plan.
We collaborate with your primary care physician to treat and manage your anemia. A physician referral is required for entry into this program.
