Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Elmbrook Memorial

Last December, I broke my ankle. My orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ryan Kehoe, scheduled my outpatient surgery for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Elmbrook Memorial. From the time my surgery was scheduled to the time of my discharge, my experience as a patient was terrific. I was contacted before surgery to get all the paperwork completed; when I arrived the day of, all I had to do was sign off. The nurses and technicians who handled my pre-surgery prep were wonderful – very friendly and extremely competent. I especially appreciated the fact that when my pastor dropped in to say “hi” after visiting another member of our congregation, the staff immediately left us alone with promises to come back later. They could have stayed, but I was impressed that they were so respectful of my visitors. They also made my husband very comfortable while he waited for me, and helped him find the pharmacy, cafeteria and gift shop while I was in surgery. Everything went smoothly and I was discharged yet that night, but my brief stay was extremely pleasant. I have been recommending Elmbrook Memorial to all my friends and neighbors.

Just wanted to say that the staff at the 4-Mile Clinic in Racine is awesome, particularly Dr. Wolf, her nurse Vicky and the reception staff. They always provide excellent, courteous and compassionate service and just recently went out of their way to help resolve a problem my daughter was having in dealing with the health care system where she attends college. It is really nice to deal with such competent professionals. We appreciate their help!

Wheaton Franciscan - St. Joseph Campus

I had day surgery at St. Joseph's on Monday, July 27th, 2009. The surgery was to remove a large cyst and ovary by Dr. Elmer Lehman. From the entrance staff, to the day surgery staff, to any staff member walking through the halls, they were friendly, helpful, and caring. I heard this from the many family members who were also with me that day. I cannot say enough about the staff who personally cared for me. Each made me feel as though I was the one and only reason they were there that day. They could sense my needs and concerns. Each one was addressed, treated with sensitivity, respect, and professionalism. You have a truly remarkable staff to be very proud of. There were many nurses and staff that attended to me. Please let each of them know how much my family and I appreciated the exceptional and personalized care that I received that day. Each one helped to make a (not so pleasant) experience the best that it could be. Thank you.

On July 14th, I had taken my sister to the Emergency Room and everyone from the receptionist to the phlebotomist they all treated her with such dignity, respect, and compassion! She is a Behavioral Health consumer and sometimes not the most cooperative patient. I just wanted to thank everyone for making her visit a pleasant one.

Wanted to pass along a sincere compliment on the efforts of Dr Thomas Kelly of the Endocrinology department on Hwy 100 & I-94. I am a former patient of Dr. Thomas Driscoll (I am hypothyroid), and went for my first annual exam with Dr. Kelly in July. He spent the time needed to review ALL of my past medical records, results of past blood work, and asked many questions of "do you know why the doctor did this or that" as he went through my past. I truly feel like he took an interest in making an absolutely correct diagnosis instead of the typical "here's what the results tell me" approach. I will continue to see him exclusively because of this caring attitude that I think is unfortunately falling by the proverbial wayside in medicine.
