Consider A Career In Radiology
A radiation technologist's primary concern when performing medical imaging procedures is to assess the patient’s condition and adhere to the principles of radiation protection for the patient, themselves,and others. These clinical professionals work with patients of all ages and may perform radiologic exams in hospital radiology departments and emergency trauma center, surgery, and intensive care units, medical clinics, or private doctor, chiropractic and dental offices.
Comprehensive Two-Year Program
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare –St. Joseph offers a comprehensive, full-time (40 hr. per week), two-year program in radiologic technology. Through participation in classroom, laboratory and clinical activities, students are prepared to successfully begin a career as a radiologic technologist.
Classes begin on the first Tuesday of each September.
The program consists of academic classes held at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Glendale campus. Clinical rotations include: Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Joseph, St. Francis, Glendale, Wauwatosa and Wheaton Franciscan Radiology – Brown Deer.
