About St. Francis
St. Francis is a full service community hospital that has been serving Milwaukee's south side since 1956. With an unusually large medical staff of 800 physicians, the hospital is able to provide the scope of services of a large medical center without loosing that small community hospital atmosphere. You'll notice it the minute you walk in our doors. From free valet service and room service to the latest in orthopedics and cardiac care, our patients tell us over and over that they won't go anywhere else for their care.

Medical Highlights
The hospital offers the highest-level newborn nursery on Milwaukee's south side. Our Emergency Department was awarded Chest Pain Re-Accreditation in 2008 and the completely renovated state-of-the-art ICU is considered one of the best in the city.
Every inpatient unit at St. Francis has been renovated in the last few years to improve patient outcomes and provide you with the latest technology. Our spacious private suites are comfortable and roomy for optimal healing. Our Emergency Department renovation was completed in April 2009 and almost doubled the number of treatment rooms. This means little or no wait times in an emergency.
Reaching Out to the Community
Rooted in the mission of its founding Felician Sisters, our hospital embraces a healing ministry that is patient-centered and spiritual. With this in mind, St. Francis provides a nurse practitioner at the Angel of Hope Clinic to provide medical services to uninsured and underinsured children and adults.
The Terrace at St. Francis, located on the St. Francis campus is a transitional facility that provides rehabilitation and additional care for patients following a hospital stay.
