Our Mission:
Rooted in the tradition of the Felician Sisters - founders of St. Francis hospital - and sustained by the Mission of the Wheaton Franciscans Sisters, the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Foundation for St. Francis is committed is to living out the healing ministry of Jesus by providing support for St. Francis’ exceptional and compassionate health care service that promotes the dignity and well-being of the people we serve.
In Service to Excellence
The Foundation focuses on building resources to benefit the health and well being of Milwaukee’s south side and surrounding communities. Fundraising efforts help to make many valuable services possible, including free and discounted health care services for low-income individuals, targeted services to senior patients, and scholarships that enhance the professional development of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare staff.
The Foundation for St. Francis is particularly proud of its support of St. Francis’ services and programs such as the Emergency Department expansion, the Su Salud program, Cancer Care, the Healing Garden, the Baby Safe Sleep program, and others.
The Foundation also helps sustain St. Francis’ Community Care program which contributes annually to the health care needs of low-income and other vulnerable patients in our community through the Angel of Hope Clinic and funding for the under and uninsured.
