Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation is an important part of recovery from cardiac surgery, heart attack, cardiac stenting or other cardiac events. A customized rehabilitation program combines monitored exercise, education, and nutrition and stress management counseling. All of these elements help patients make the lifestyle changes needed to improve health and reduce the risks of having another cardiac event.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase II is an outpatient program that starts soon after you are discharged from the hospital. This program consists of monitored exercise sessions and education classes two or three times a week. We work with you and your physician to design a program that will optimize your recovery and help you return to normal activities. Diet and psychological counseling are also available.
Based on your diagnosis, Medicare and most insurance plans may cover the cost of cardiac rehabilitation.
The next phases of Cardiac Rehabilitation (Phase III and IV) consist of supervised exercise sessions and help with lifestyle management. This program is open to anyone and ideal for patients who:
We offer aerobic exercise, strength training and other special programs in a supportive setting. There is a fee for this program, as it is not covered by Medicare or most insurance plans.
Pulmonary Services
Our staff uses the latest technology to detect problems in lung function. The results help physicians diagnose the patient’s current condition and choose the best treatment options.
