Franklin Hospital Expands to Meet the Needs of the Community

Located on 55 acres on the border of Franklin and Oak Creek, the hospital opened its doors in 2008. Designed to meet the health care needs of one of the fastest growing communities in the state of Wisconsin, the 275,000 square foot facility initially opened as an outpatient facility with the capacity to expand into a full-service hospital. As the needs of the Franklin/Oak Creek community evolved, so has the hospital.

In 2010, a six-bed Intensive Care Unit opened, bringing the total number of private inpatient rooms to 32. Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Franklin is now a full-fledged hospital with 24/7 emergency care, surgical services, radiology, rehab, lab, retail pharmacy, café, and a walk-in clinic open seven days a week. In addition, Franklin is home to more than 30 primary care and specialty physicians who see patients here.

The building itself is designed to provide a soothing, comforting atmosphere because we believe that calm surroundings have a positive impact on your ability to heal. Every detail in our hospital was designed with your comfort in mind with lots of natural light, comfortable furniture, and expansive ceilings. And our patient satisfaction scores have ranked consistently in the top 10% in the nation since we opened our doors, making Franklin your choice for your family’s total health care needs.
