Dr. Shimshak completed his medical degree, residency in internal medicine, and clinical cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He subsequently furthered his cardiovascular training with an advanced angioplasty fellowship at the Mid America Heart Institute (MAHI) in Kansas City, Missouri.Dr. Shimshak's hours vary at certain locations.
Dr. Shimshak's clinical practice is devoted to coronary and peripheral intervention. He is an active participant in clinical research and an investigator in numerous clinical trials. A frequent course director, proctor and lecturer, he also serves on several clinical advisory boards and is the author of numerous publications in interventional cardiology.
