First time seeing Nancy Nygeun. I was very impressed by her and I felt very comfortable explaining my health with her and asking any questions I had. She was very thorough which I highly appreciate.

I talked with this provider about getting back on contraceptives. I told her I had like the contraceptive that I had used in the past so she decided to prescribe that. After searching for it she decided against it, not necessarily reasoning why, and prescribed a different contraceptive (which is fine). I felt I didn't have much input in this. After a talking and reassuring her how responsible I was in taking my contraceptives, she proceeded to suggest I take prenatal vitamins IN CASE I get pregnant. I was uncomfortable with this suggestion as I had just reassured her I was 100% responsible with my contraceptives. I have also never heard this suggestion from a medical provider.

Overall positive experience, however, this was a second visit for a lingering, month-long, apparently viral infection, and with my health history(by-pass surgery and subsequent staph infection 3yrs ago), I was getting concerned that it might be something that needed more attention. I could be wrong but I got the impression that she felt I was over reacting, and maybe I was.

it has been a VERY long time since I have visited with a doctor that I had any real confidence in, or that I felt truly understood how disconcerting and frightening some personal medical issues could be to an older patient. Dr. Nancy Nguyen got that right away! I saw her for a female health issue, and without any hesitation, she told me to feel free to call her if I felt myself beginning too worried and scared...or if there where any changes regarding what was happening...while waiting for follow-up testing to be completed, as well as waiting to hear from the specialist she was referring me to. Dr. Nguyen touched my heart with her kindness, empathy, and understanding, and I will not ever forget that; I was moved to tears. In all of my 61 years, NO other doctor has ever offered their time in such regard of uncertainty, or fear. PLEASE share this with Dr. Nguyen, and let her know that her kindness and empathy meant so very, very much to me. I hope she will be with the Cudahy clinic for a long time.

A huge opportunity for the care givers to have alternative solutions to the medications. Choices for care beyond a drug. Thank you.

I've already recommended doctor Nguyen to my roommate. I am very lucky to have her.

Overall I did not have a good experience with this provider. She sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy after I told her the correct one to use. This delayed me being able to get my medication for over 6 hours. I needed it immediately for a UTI. She also seemed to question my medication regimen in a demeaning manner. I have been taking the same medications for over 2 years and my previous provider was wonderful and was always willing to work with me to find the best solution for my needs. However, this provider was very monotone and did not give the impression she cared or wanted to be there helping me. I will be coming back for one more appointment due to the fact that it is hard to schedule new patient appointments, but it is unlikely I will come back to see her after that. I would not recommend her to anyone. Her personality is not warm or welcoming at all.

I did not have any issues with this Dr, but my adult daughter who saw her a week later did and I was the one who referred her to Dr. Nygun. She will not be seeing her again. It makes me wonder if I should refer anyone to this Dr. and her assistant.
