Gojko Stula, MD

Specialties: Internal Medicine
"My personal philosophy of medicine is the role of a doctor is to prevent illness, not just treat it. By combining complementary and traditional medicine, I help my patients achieve their optimal health. I believe unhealthy eating, lack of exercise, stress, loss of natural hormones, and build-up of toxins contribute to illness and a decline in good health. My approach is to teach my patients to stay healthy and treat them, if necessary."

This was a medicare wellness visit - shorter than I had while I was on regular insurance - there must be stipulations as to time and what the physician does during the exam.

I purposely sought out Dr. Stula for his knowledge and open mindedness with thyroid problems. He has been the ONLY provider that I have found, that has been able to think outside the box and beyond what the tests say to help me address my problem, which is Hashimoto Thyroid caused by Leaky Gut. He prescribed an excellent book for me to read and it was enlightening and I am now on my way to good health. We need MORE functional medicine doctors in our medical system!

I have a whole host of physical problems, which need time to discuss. Dr Stula worked with me and my written list to advise me. Even though he spent more time with me than usual, I still needed more time to discuss questions that came up when he was giving me advise.
