Adrienne Barnosky, DO

Specialties: Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
“The foundation of the doctor-patient relationship is based on trust and mutual respect. I stay up-to-date on the science of medical practices but also remain true to the reason I entered the medical profession – to provide excellent and compassionate care to others. To do so, listening and communication is critical. The few extra minutes it takes to truly understand a patient’s difficulty in managing an illness is large part of treating the entire patient.”

I had an end of the day appointment, and she did seem a bit rushed or stressed. It might have been related to needing to finish soon enough for the nurses to leave on time. I don't think patients should know about staff schedules and needing to leave. That should have been a conversation outside of the treatment room.
