Mission

The mission statement of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints School of Radiologic Technology states:

“Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints School of Radiologic Technology is committed to preparing and graduating individuals to be exceptional, caring and compassionate radiographers by providing a safe and creative learning environment that promotes critical thinking and lifelong learning.”

Program Goals & Student Learning Outcomes

The All Saints School of Radiologic Technology is committed to providing an education for the student radiographer keeping the following goals in mind:

The student will acquire skills to perform as an entry level Radiologic Technologist.
Student learning outcomes:

  • The student will exhibit technical ability.
  • The student will adhere to radiation protection methods.
  • The student will be able to properly position patients.

The student will be able to communicate effectively.
Student learning outcomes:

  • The student will be able to communicate effectively in written form.
  • The student will demonstrate effective oral communication skills.

The student will exhibit critical thinking skills in the clinical environment.
Student learning outcomes:

  • The student will be able to make modifications to accommodate adverse patients.
  • The student will be able to perform in varied situations.
  • The student will be able to analyze images.

The student will demonstrate professional behavior, and develop habits that promote life-long learning.
Student learning outcomes:

  • The student will demonstrate professionalism in the clinical setting.
  • The student will develop an educational presentation.
  • The student will advocate for the radiology profession.

Program Effectiveness.
Student learning outcomes:

  • The student will pass the ARRT registry on the first attempt
  • The student will complete the radiology program
  • Of those seeking employment, the graduate student will be employed in the field of Radiologic Technology within twelve months of graduation
  • Graduate students will competently perform as an entry level radiographer
  • The quality of the program will exceed the expectations of students completing the program
