Join a growing group of Pediatric Hospitalists on the Lake Michigan shoreline


Advocate Medical Group(AMG), a large, multi-specialty group located in Chicago, Illinois with over 750 physicians representing over 30 specialties, announces its search for additional Pediatric Hospitalists. In response to needs expressed by community based physicians, AMG, in collaboration with Wheaton Franciscan Health System, is currently forming a new Pediatric Hospitalist service at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints located in Racine, WI.


All Saints Features:
Dedicated pediatric unit which offers patients and families a warm and welcoming environment.


18 Bed, Level IIIA-NICU Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coverage of inpatient pediatric ward
  • Serving as liaison to private attending staff
  • NICU coverage with full Neonatology backup ED consultations

Placement needs are immediate, however inquiries from 2010 candidates will gladly be accepted. Full time placements start at 84, 24-hour in-house calls per year. Full and part-time positions will be considered. Both Wisconsin and Illinois licensure is required for cross-coverage at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, in Barrington, IL. Training and orientation will also be conducted at Good Shepherd Hospital. These positions offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package.


Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system now serving the residents of the Racine area and Southeastern Wisconsin area. All Saints Medical Center is an innovative, not-for-profit healthcare provider and part of the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System.


All Saints Medical Center is a fully JCAHO accredited 350 licensed bed hospital. Centers of excellence include the Center for Women and Children, General Medicine Department, Surgery Department, a 14-bed CARF accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, Endoscopy Center, a level II Emergency Department, Cardiovascular Institute, Headache Center and Cancer Center. Other services include laboratory and MRI services, Infusion Therapy Center, and Diabetes Management Center.


RACINE COMMUNITY:

Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Racine is ideally situated 25 miles south of Milwaukee and 65 miles north of Chicago. The city's population is 90,000 and the medical service area includes 230,000 people.


Racine offers culture, recreation, education and a variety of neighborhoods in which to live. In addition to serving as home for those who work in the Racine area, the city also serves as a bedroom community to both Chicago and Milwaukee. Racine features theater, the symphony and art. For outdoor and sporting enthusiasts, the area provides the utmost in water sports and outdoor recreation such as skiing, golf, tennis, and softball. Professional sporting events in both Chicago and Milwaukee feature the Chicago Bears and Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks, and Brewers as well as the Green Bay Packers.
