Runzheimer Helps to Build Stronger Communities
Active communities are healthy communities. Every year, Runzheimer Foundation supports hundreds of local charitable causes, events, and organizations that enhance the well-being of those who live, work, and play in our communities.
“It all stems from the culture of the organization,” says Greg Harper, president and CEO of Runzheimer International. “We take pride in giving back. We want to help and engage people.”
By promoting education, community, the environment, and people in need, Runzheimer Foundation brings people together as they work toward a common goal.
“Our jobs are analytical, and so we don’t often see the end result of our efforts for months,” Harper said. “But giving back allows us to interact in a different way, and allows us to see the immediacy of what we’re all doing.”
From reading initiatives, health care programs, music festivals, and sporting events to veterans’ memorials, community theater, and school programs, Runzheimer Foundation engages employees and community members in activities that are near and dear to their hearts. A matching gift program supports employees’ endeavors, and they are recognized in the work place for their charitable activities.
The results are unique, heartfelt efforts that strengthen communities, says Jackie Strelow, secretary of Runzheimer Foundation.
“It all goes to the greater good,” she said. “It’s feel-good stuff, and it’s infectious.”
