Neurosurgery at All Saints

Surgery may be indicated for some of the following conditions of the nerves, brain and spine

  • Low back and neck pain
  • Spinal disorders such as degeneration or tumors
  • Disk herniations
  • Brain tumors, stroke and hemorrhages
All Saints offers state-of-the-art surgical options, including:

  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery -- delivering a high dose of treatment radiation to a targeted area and sparing the surrounding organ or tissue
  • Stereotactic surgery with neuronavigation – using computer guidance systems to accurately locate and access brain lesions
  • Minimally invasive spinal surgery
  • Spinal reconstruction
  • Peripheral nerve surgery, such as carpal tunnel or ulnar nerve entrapment
  • Vagal Nerve Stimulator – A new procedure in the treatment of seizures, this device is implanted in the chest. Lead wires are wrapped around the vagus nerve and programmed to provide short bursts of electrical stimulation to the nerve. The stimulation appears to scramble the signals that start a seizure and in some individuals has successfully decreased or eliminated the number and/or severity of seizures.
