Meeting Your Personal, Couples and Family Counseling Needs
Wheaton Franciscan Mental Health and Addiction Care offers outpatient counseling to meet your specific needs for a variety of issues. We can help children, adolescents and adults learn the skills they will need to cope with issues in their personal environment. After skills are taught, we help clients transition to using these skills at home, school, and in the community. Families and significant others are included in care, education and support.
Individual therapy
Individual therapy is provided by our Masters prepared and doctorate level therapists, who have knowledge, experience and a wide variety of clinical expertise. From stress, depression, anxiety and panic disorders to childhood issues, attention deficit disorder and anger issues, our therapists can help.
Couples therapy
Marital, relationship and divorce issues may be addressed in couples therapy.
Family therapy
Our family program is designed specifically to meet the unique recovery needs of family members who have been affected by anothers use of alcohol and/or drugs. The program assists individual family members in becoming aware of how each of them has been affected by the disease and how they can engage in their own personal program of recovery.
Family therapy is also available for mental health issues including parenting needs, childhood issues, abuse and other relationship problems.
Group therapy
For individuals who benefit from the educational, therapeutic and supportive experiences found within a peer group, group therapy is available. Supportive and theme-specific groups are offered, including stress management, coping skills, grief and loss, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan Group (WRAP).
Our Continuing Care Program for substance use disorders meets for 90 minutes every week for 24 weeks. The program builds upon primary treatment and continues to help clients build recovery skills that will assist them in personal growth and recovery.
