Our Audiologists Improve and Protect Hearing with Special Devices

Hearing aids, assistive listening devices and other items can be dispensed and fit by our audiologists.

  • Hearing Aids
    • Evaluation, Fitting and Supplies – A hearing aid evaluation consists of a personalized interview so that the audiologist can best fit the level of technology and style of hearing aid with the patient’s communication needs. During a hearing aid fitting there is one-on-one instruction to teach the patient how to use and program the hearing aid.
    • Digital Hearing Aid Technology – There are varying levels of technology, from basic to advanced, to meet a person’s individual needs. Digital hearing aids also are available in a variety of different sizes and styles.
  • Assistive Listening Devices – Audiologists can help identify other devices that make communication easier for those with hearing difficulties. Examples include amplified telephones, TV “listening ears,” and other alerting and listening devices for the deaf and hard of hearing.
  • Ear and Hearing Protection – Audiologists are able to help select and take ear impressions for custom-fit earplugs. This includes earplugs for reduction of loud noise, specialty earplugs like musician’s earplugs, or earplugs for keeping water out of the ear
