Application Procedure

All applicants must submit a completed application, official transcripts from high school and all post-secondary educational facilities, and a $25.00 application fee by February 15th to:

1. Once the information has been received, the applicant will be notified of eligibility by mail, and will be instructed to schedule a three (3) hour site visit. The on-site visit is part of the application process in which the applicant will have an opportunity to observe the radiology department workflow.
2. The site visit is used to evaluate the applicant on his/her professionalism and department integration. No applicant will be granted a personal interview until this observation is completed.
3. When the site visit is complete, the applicant will be scheduled for a personal interview with the Program Director and Clinical Instructors in mid-March. The applicant will be evaluated on his/her interest and knowledge of the profession, previous customer service experience, communication skills, poise and confidence.
4. In the event that there are multiple eligible applicants, the program faculty will seek advisement from the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee will review the applications, site visit evaluations and interviewing assessments and make their recommendations. The Admissions Committee is comprised of a representative from Human Resources, a Radiologist and the Director of the Radiology Department.

Notification of Acceptance

Final student selection is determined by a point system in which the applicant receives points from their academic transcript, site visit, personal interview and input from the Admissions Committee.

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the applicant no later than April 15th. The applicant is required to acknowledge his/her acceptance by returning a letter of intent along with a $500.00 deposit. This fee is non-refundable but will be applied towards the applicant’s tuition. Student acceptance into the program is contingent upon the student passing the drug screening and a criminal background check.

Notification of Denial

Those applicants who have met the school’s requirements but who were not selected for enrollment into the school will be notified by letter. Applicants not accepted into the school but still interested in a position in a future class must submit a new application and follow all the criteria as previously outlined.
