Community Care program a 'god send' in troubled times

Linda and Gaetano Binanti had just opened their second restaurant when the economy began to sour

They poured their savings into the venture, but circumstances were against them and they lost the restaurant, their home, and their health insurance. Facing bankruptcy and foreclosure, Gaetano’s diabetes began to flare up. Like millions of Americans, he found himself in need of medical attention yet without insurance to pay for it. The Binanti’s turned to Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints’ Community Care program. The program provides medically necessary care for individuals and families who demonstrate financial need but do not qualify for government assistance.

“It’s a really rough time but Wheaton’s been there to help with all our medical needs,” says Linda. “They’ve been a Godsend.”
