2015 Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Annual Report now available

Glendale, WI – Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare’s 2015 Annual Report is now available for viewing on www.wfhealthcare.org/AnnualReport. The website includes complete financials along with a series of short videos of our work with patients and housing ministry residents. A video highlighting how Wheaton associates and physicians carry out our Mission as they answer the call to serve is also included.

In fiscal year 2015, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare provided more than $176 million in charitable benefit to the community, including more than $34 million in charity care. In Southeast Wisconsin, Wheaton’s community benefit totaled community benefit totaled more than $139 million including nearly $29 million in charity care.

Oliverio, President and Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to providing charity care and covering the shortfall from government-sponsored programs such as Medicaid, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare provided nearly $70 million in care to the elderly that was not reimbursed by Medicare. The gap in Medicare reimbursement was not included in accordance with the Catholic Health Association Community Benefit Reporting Guidelines.
