2014 Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Annual Report now available


Milwaukee, WI – Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare’s 2014 Annual Report is now available for viewing on www.wfhealthcare.org/AnnualReport. The website includes complete financials along with a series of short videos of our work with patients and housing ministry residents. Information on how the organization is offering hope and healing in our communities is also included.

In fiscal year 2014, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare provided more than $192 million in charitable benefit to the community, including more than $49 million in charity care. In Southeast Wisconsin, our community benefit totaled more than $158 million including nearly $43 million in charity care.

In addition to providing charity care and covering the shortfall from government-sponsored programs such as Medicaid, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Southeast Wisconsin provided more than $83 million in care to the elderly that was not reimbursed by Medicare. The gap in Medicare reimbursement was not included in accordance with the Catholic Health Association Community Benefit Reporting Guidelines.
