Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Family Care Center
Steel framing of the $6.6 million single story Family Care Center is substantially complete with roofing set to begin at the end of January. Enclosure of the building should begin around mid-February.
The Family Care Center is temporarily operating in a portion of the former St. Michael Hospital and will remain open until the new building is completed. Other parts of the former hospital, the previous Family Care Center, and the professional office building were demolished in August.
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – St. Francis Outpatient Center
The elevator and stairwell towers for the 80,000-square-foot outpatient center are complete. The steel structure is 50% complete and will continue for another four weeks. Site utilities are in and complete, and concrete decks are scheduled to be poured the week of February 20.
Located on the St. Francis hospital campus, the outpatient center will focus on neurology services for patients with Multiple Sclerosis, stroke and movement disorders. It will include a rehabilitation area, sleep lab, physician office space, and a clinic to facilitate infusion therapies for patients with auto-immune neurological disorders.
